Context
BuildingCenter was not a contained development exercise. It was a live SAP Commerce Cloud platform with real operational pressure, production support, business-sensitive flows, and direct visibility from the client side.
That meant backend work had to coexist with incidents, existing integrations, functional constraints, and continuous delivery needs.
Problem
The challenge was not only to build functionality. The challenge was to do it without losing stability in a platform already running real operations, and to investigate incidents deeply enough to solve the actual problem instead of just closing tickets.
What I did
- Built backend functionality with Java, Spring, and SAP Commerce Cloud on top of an already active production platform.
- Worked on services, data models, jobs, interceptors, validators, integrations, and business logic tied to core platform behavior.
- Investigated incidents, traced root causes, and contributed to stability improvements instead of treating tickets as isolated issues.
- Combined Java, Spring, and SQL to diagnose complex problems and reduce analysis time.
- Collaborated with client, QA, and functional teams to turn incidents and requirements into concrete technical actions.

Impact

What this shows about my profile
It shows a backend profile that does more than implement features. I can also investigate causes, sustain day-to-day operations, and make technical decisions inside a business platform already running.
